TRADEX, the petroleum distribution subsidiary of Cameroon’s national hydrocarbons company (SNH), has received renewed support from its board of directors following a meeting in Yaoundé. The board praised TRADEX’s performance and reaffirmed its crucial role in Cameroon’s energy security, particularly given current global supply tensions. Emmanuel Mvondo, TRADEX’s director general, was granted continued confidence to implement the company’s development strategy, building on the vision of founder Adolphe Moudiki. The company aims to strengthen its market position in Cameroon and the sub-region, remaining a key player in the petroleum sector. The board also emphasized alignment with SNH’s strategy for securing supply and maximizing national resource value. This includes support for the CSTAR project, which aims to build a refinery and storage facility in Kribi to bolster national energy resilience.
