Cameroon is actively working to strengthen its healthcare system through diversified international partnerships. Recently, the Minister of Public Health, Malachie Manaouda, met with the ambassadors of Turkey and Israel to discuss collaborative opportunities. Israel has proposed a comprehensive project to renovate and modernize the Essong District Hospital, including infrastructure improvements, solar panel installation, and new medical equipment for pediatrics, maternity, and radiology. This project also encompasses free healthcare services provided by Cameroonian and Israeli specialists, alongside school supply distribution. Simultaneously, Cameroon and Turkey are poised to enhance their medical collaboration through a new memorandum of understanding focused on health worker training and medical expertise exchange. These initiatives signal a proactive approach by Cameroon to bolster its healthcare infrastructure and patient care.
