The 10th edition of the International Business, SME, and Partnership Fair (PROMOTE) officially opened in Yaoundé, Cameroon on Monday. The event, presided over by the Minister of Commerce representing the Prime Minister, focuses on helping private companies navigate national and international economic challenges. This year’s theme is “Private Enterprises and the Business Environment: Benchmarks for Facing National and International Economic Challenges.” Approximately 1,500 companies from 40 countries are participating, with an anticipated 200,000 visitors before the fair concludes on June 21st. Organized biennially by the Inter-Progress Foundation under Cameroonian government auspices, PROMOTE has become a key economic event for the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) region since its inception in 2002. The fair aims to provide concrete guidance to businesses and foster partnerships within the region and beyond.
