The first animal cemetery in the Moravskoslezský Kraj has opened in Bílovec, Novojičínsko. The cemetery is operated by the town through its technical services. It caters to dogs, cats, and other pets weighing up to fifty kilograms. Local councilors initiated the construction of the pet cemetery on a hill just outside Bílovec. The site previously served as a rendering plant for animal carcasses from slaughterhouses. This new facility provides a dedicated final resting place for beloved pets in the region.
