Bucharest’s Henri Coandă International Airport has become the first in Romania to implement artificial intelligence for predicting baggage delivery times. Developed in collaboration with EUROCONTROL, the new system utilizes advanced algorithms and machine learning to provide passengers with accurate estimates of baggage wait times. This technology aims to enhance the overall passenger experience by reducing uncertainty and improving airport operational efficiency. The AI system will offer detailed information regarding baggage arrival at carousel locations. This initiative positions Bucharest Airport among major European hubs adopting innovative technologies. The airport anticipates the system will streamline baggage handling and minimize passenger frustration. Further details regarding the rollout and system performance are expected to be released soon.
