The Brașov City Hall is exploring the possibility of integrating battery storage systems into the upcoming Stupini photovoltaic park. This innovative approach aims to prevent power grid overloading during peak sunny periods. To assess the viability of this initiative, local authorities have allocated 140,000 lei for a specialized feasibility study. The project focuses on optimizing the use of energy produced by the solar installation. By storing excess electricity, the city hopes to ensure a more stable and efficient energy supply. This move reflects a strategic effort to modernize the city's energy infrastructure. The study will determine if the battery storage solution is technically and financially feasible.
