Bratislava’s 16th annual Pride festival drew an estimated 10,000 attendees, according to security firm SafetyCrew. The event saw a smooth flow of people entering the main gathering point at Freedom Square from multiple access points. Security was visible with a strong police and private security presence, and thorough bag checks were conducted at all entrances. This year's Pride focused not only on local LGBTQ+ rights, but also expressed solidarity with queer communities in Ukraine, Hungary, and Palestine. Attendees demonstrated courage and support for LGBTQ+ individuals facing challenges in these regions. The festival signifies a continued push for acceptance and equality within Slovakia and beyond. Umbrellas were among items attendees were asked to leave before entering the event grounds.
