Bosnia and Herzegovina exported 71.7 million kilograms of milk and dairy products in 2025, surpassing its import volume by over 22 million kilograms. Despite exporting more product, the country experienced a trade deficit in value, spending 253.2 million BAM on 49.3 million kilograms of imports. Export revenues reached 144.6 million BAM, resulting in a difference of 108 million BAM. This indicates that, on average, imported dairy products cost significantly more per kilogram than those exported from Bosnia and Herzegovina. The data highlights an economic imbalance within the dairy sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Further analysis is needed to determine the reasons for this cost discrepancy. The report originated from Sarajevo Times.
