To ensure security during the upcoming Durga Puja festivities, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) will deploy personnel in Gopalganj, Madaripur, and Faridpur districts, in addition to border districts. The deployment will take place from October 16th to October 22nd. This decision was announced during a press conference at the BGB headquarters in Pilkhana, Dhaka, on Friday, October 16th, at 11:30 AM, by BGB Director Lieutenant Colonel Mo.... The BGB’s presence aims to maintain law and order and safeguard the Puja mandaps (festive pandals). The deployment is a proactive measure to address potential security concerns during the important religious celebration. Authorities are prioritizing the safety of worshippers and the smooth conduct of the festival across these districts. The BGB will be on duty throughout the duration of the festival.
