Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab, a leader in the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), has refuted circulating reports concerning the engagement and impending marriage of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. The reports, which gained traction on social media, suggested Bilawal was set to marry a European, potentially a former Austrian princess, with wedding preparations underway. Claims also surfaced that President Asif Ali Zardari travelled to Liechtenstein to finalize wedding arrangements. Wahab dismissed these reports as "incorrect and unfounded" in a statement posted on X, formerly Twitter. Notably, neither Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari nor his family have commented directly on the matter. A related report published by Daily Ausaf was subsequently deleted, and the Presidency only confirmed President Zardari’s private foreign visit without elaborating.
