Forest officials spotted an adult Royal Bengal tiger roaming near the Andarmanik patrol post and eco-tourism center in the Chandpai range on Thursday morning. A forest guard captured a 30-second video of the tiger from a distance. The sighting indicates a positive impact from the restrictions on tourist and general access to the area, allowing animals to move more freely. This period of restricted access is intended to protect the delicate breeding cycles of the region’s diverse wildlife. Officials from the Eastern Sundarbans division in Bagerhat confirmed the sighting and are monitoring the tiger’s movements.
