A Finnish brewery, Olarin Panimo, has released a limited-edition beer named “RIP Kusitorni” to commemorate a recently demolished Helsinki landmark. “Kusitorni,” meaning “Pee Tower” in Finnish, was a well-known staircase structure in the Itäkeskus district. The structure was dismantled in May, prompting the brewery to create the commemorative brew. The beer’s label features an image of the demolition and marks the landmark’s lifespan as 1984–2026. The beer is currently being sold at Konepaja in Helsinki, offering a unique tribute to the local icon. The brewery’s initiative aims to celebrate the memory of the structure fondly remembered by many residents.
