Entering the city of Beira and the Port has become a daily ordeal. The final 20 kilometers of National Road Number 6 (N6), the country’s main logistics corridor, experiences chronic congestion from heavy trucks arriving and departing from the Port of Beira. The government launched a project last November to construct an alternative road designed to alleviate this issue. However, construction has not yet begun, continuing the logistical challenges. This ongoing congestion impacts the flow of goods and creates daily difficulties for those traveling to and from the port city of Beira. The delayed start raises concerns about resolving the traffic problems on the crucial N6 route. The situation continues to represent a significant impediment to efficient transport within the region.
