Organizers of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín have announced a significant change to this year’s course, removing a long-standing and popular stage for the first time since 2012. The asphalt section near the Slušovice race track, including the challenging “motanice” area and its televised jump, will not be part of the rally. This stage has been a traditional element of the event for many years. The decision marks the first time in over a decade that the rally will proceed without this particular test of driver skill. No reason was given for the removal, but it represents a notable alteration to the rally’s established format. The Barum Rally is scheduled to begin with a night-time superspecial stage in Zlín, starting earlier than in previous years.
