Baringo County education officials are reallocating Digital Literacy Program (DLP) devices currently unused in primary schools to support the newly implemented Junior Secondary School program. The directive, issued by County Director for Education Dr. Kosgei Kipruto, aims to maximize the utilization of existing educational technology resources. Primary school heads have been instructed to surrender the devices to their Junior Secondary counterparts. This move follows concerns about equitable access to technology as the curriculum expands. The reassignment occurred during the conclusion of a mathematics, science, and technology education workshop. Officials hope this will bridge the digital divide and enhance learning opportunities for Junior Secondary students. This indicates a strategic shift in resource distribution within the county's education system.
