A third day of intelligence-based operations in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, resulted in the death of one terrorist and the detention of eight suspects. The operation, a joint effort between police, the Elite Force, Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), and the army, focused on the Grera Shah Jahan village. Authorities report the killed terrorist was attempting to plant an IED, and an AK-47 rifle was recovered at the scene. The eight detained individuals have been transferred to the CTD and district police for further investigation. Additionally, authorities recovered motorcycles and a rickshaw linked to a wanted terrorist. Police have committed to continuing these joint operations to eliminate terrorism and ensure public safety, following a previous report of 24 terrorists killed in the district.
