The Technical Evaluation Committee (TEC) has certified the automated election system (AES) used in the first Bangsamoro parliamentary elections (BPE) as secure and accurate. The TEC, comprised of representatives from the Comelec, Department of Science and Technology, and Department of Information and Communications Technology, assessed the system prior to and during the polls in the Bangsamoro region. This certification aims to address any concerns regarding the integrity of the electoral process in the newly established autonomous region. The assessment covered various aspects of the AES to ensure its reliability and prevent potential manipulation. The results of the BPE in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao are now considered trustworthy, thanks to this certification.
