Authorities in Bangladesh have arrested the primary suspect in the attempted sexual assault of a six-year-old girl in Ashulia, Dhaka. The suspect, identified as Bidoy Sarkar, 55, was apprehended early Tuesday morning in a joint operation by the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) in the Dashulia cluster village of Sadullapur upazila, Gaibandha district. Rab-4 Company Commander Major Arman Hossain confirmed the arrest via WhatsApp. The arrest follows a case filed regarding the attempted assault. Further details regarding the investigation and the suspect’s motives have not yet been released.
