Bangchak Corporation Plc (BCP) announced record second-quarter profits, reaching 12.24 billion Baht, a significant increase from both the previous quarter and a loss recorded last year. This positive financial performance represents almost a doubling of profit compared to the prior quarter and a dramatic turnaround from a 2.56-billion Baht loss in the same period last year. Revenue experienced a substantial 46% year-on-year growth, reaching 183.55 billion Baht. The company’s EBITDA also saw a considerable rise, totaling 25.97 billion Baht. This success is attributed to a combination of factors including rising oil prices, improved refining margins, and increased demand for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The results demonstrate Bangchak's strong performance in a volatile market, showcasing its ability to capitalize on favorable conditions.
