Bali’s provincial government is collaborating with PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) to introduce a battery-powered tram system. The tram will connect Ngurah Rai International Airport to the popular tourist destination of Canggu. This project aims to alleviate traffic congestion and offer a more sustainable transportation option for visitors and residents. The tram is envisioned as an environmentally friendly alternative to road transport, supporting Bali’s green tourism initiatives. Preliminary studies are underway to determine the optimal route and capacity of the tram line. Officials anticipate the project will significantly improve connectivity and accessibility within the region, boosting tourism and economic growth. The initiative highlights a commitment to modernizing Bali's infrastructure while prioritizing environmental sustainability.
