Former Agrofert owner and current Prime Minister Andrej Babiš received a dividend of 4.25 billion Czech crowns (approximately €180 million) from the Agrofert conglomerate last year, according to a report by iDNES.cz. Babiš confirmed the amount, stating it was paid after taxes. He also noted that if the company were moved abroad, the state would receive nothing from the payout. The dividend was received prior to Babiš placing his Agrofert shares into the RSVP Trust in February of this year due to conflict of interest legislation. Agrofert’s profit in 2024 reached 7.1 billion crowns, while last year’s profit totaled 2.2 billion crowns. This disclosure comes under scrutiny regarding potential conflicts of interest linked to the Prime Minister’s past and present ties to the large agricultural and chemical holding.
