Police in Kolda were notified Sunday evening of the discovery of the body of 42-year-old Mamadou Diallo, a butcher, at his residence. His partner, Aissatou Diallo, reported a dispute stemming from her late return home, alleging Mamadou Diallo fell in the courtyard during the argument. However, an autopsy conducted at the morgue of the regional hospital in Kolda concluded that his death was violent, caused by a parieto-occipital hematoma resulting from a traumatic brain injury. Consequently, Aissatou Diallo is now under investigation for voluntary assault leading to death. The Garde Nationale was initially involved in the investigation. The findings indicate foul play and a more serious incident than initially reported.
