Athens’ tram system is increasing its service frequency starting September 7th, aiming to reduce wait times for passengers. The changes will add four extra trams during peak hours, resulting in up to 16 more trips on Line 7. This increase brings the total number of trams operating simultaneously during the morning rush to 27. Passengers traveling between Syntagma Square-Pikrodafni and Voula-SEF can expect reduced wait times, now under 10 minutes. The upgrade aims to improve the commuting experience for residents and visitors alike, addressing previous concerns about overcrowding and delays. This initiative represents a significant improvement to Athens’ public transport network.
