Deadly floods in Assam, India have claimed at least 75 lives as of Tuesday, according to the Disaster Reporting and Information Management System (DRIMS). Seven districts – Shivsagar, Charaideo, Golaghat, Jorhat, Nagaon, Sonitpur, and Kamrup (Metropolitan) – remain severely affected by the ongoing deluge. Authorities have announced that the families of the deceased will receive financial assistance of 9 lakh rupees.
