Masud Parvez Rony, a document writer, has been arrested in Bogura, Bangladesh, following a display of weapons at the local sub-registry office. Rony, 40, was apprehended early Saturday morning from his in-law’s home in Shahajanpur upazila by Sadar Police and the Detective Branch. He had been brandishing sharp weapons at the office, causing public alarm. A case has been filed against him under the Arms Act. Following court proceedings, Rony has been sent to Bogura District Jail. Local leader SM Zillani stated readiness to welcome Sheikh Hasina from any direction. The arrest follows an investigation into the incident at the land registry office.
