The National Heritage Institute in Brno has acquired the doctoral dissertation of prominent architect Ernst Wiesner, along with his wife Eva’s diary and family photographs. These valuable archival materials, previously held in the United Kingdom, will be displayed at Villa Stiassni, a building designed by Wiesner himself. The items were transported from Great Britain by Consul General David Frous, who received them from Timothy Wilkinson, whose family had a close relationship with the Wiesners. The acquisition represents a significant addition to the historical record surrounding Wiesner’s life and work. Villa Stiassni will now serve as a location to showcase these personal and professional artifacts. The return of these materials allows for a more complete understanding of the architect and his family’s legacy.
