Residents of an apartment building in Amsterdam-Osdorp have been allowed to return home following an explosion in a nearby outbuilding on Thursday night. Housing authorities confirmed the apartments have been inspected and deemed safe for re-entry, though some residents require new keys due to forced entry by firefighters during the evacuation. Over one hundred doors were forced open, and broken windows have been temporarily boarded up. Approximately 400 residents were previously evacuated and sheltered in hotels and a local community center. Seven people were injured in the blast, but authorities have confirmed no one remains trapped in the debris. Police have arrested three individuals in connection with the incident and suspect criminal activity involving explosives, while all possible scenarios are still under investigation.
