A consumer lawsuit against Amazon regarding advertising within its Prime Video streaming service has been dismissed by a German court. The case, brought by 324,000 plaintiffs, challenged the practice of displaying advertisements to Prime subscribers. The consumer protection group, Sachsen Consumer Center, filed the lawsuit arguing the ads were not adequately disclosed. However, the court ruled in favor of Amazon, rejecting the consumers' claims. Sachsen Consumer Center has announced its intention to appeal the decision to the Federal Court of Justice. This appeal suggests the battle over advertising on streaming platforms is not yet over.
