A derelict farm in Colombia has been transformed into a 40-hectare agroforestry coffee plantation thanks to extensive land and water restoration efforts. The owner discovered the abandoned property and prioritized rehabilitating the soil and natural springs before any coffee production began. Over 120,000 trees have been planted as part of the restoration process, creating a diverse and ecologically sound environment. The resulting coffee plantation operates without the use of pesticides, emphasizing a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices. This revitalization demonstrates a successful model for land recovery and responsible coffee farming in Colombia.
